I know some people come into your life for a purpose and a reason. One person is my SCORE mentor, who mentored me and gave me advice for Rachel's Heart International and Teacher's Alliance Global. Life just happened, whether it was my phone number change, the pandemic, my family relocating out of state, or my new job as a kindergarten teacher. We lost contact. I wondered how my mentor's family was affected. I called and left messages for so long, but there was no response. We lost all phone and email communication. I let it be because, during this pandemic, you never know why you lose contact with people.
I moved to Maryland from New York in August of this year. The pandemic helped me re-assess my life and reflect upon what matters to me, my passions, and my purpose. For some time, and even more recently, I decided to re-launch Rachel's Heart International with the new Teacher's Alliance Global edition. Especially this last month. I placed one last call to my mentor a few months ago and received a return phone call the same evening. Wow! We caught up on old business and discussed new plans for my organization. Moments like this made me realize how much you are on the right track and that the breath of life breathing into your purpose is priceless.
I am blessed to connect with a friendly mentor who is supportively knowledgeable in accounting practices, business management, and nonprofit formation. Above all, someone who is a great person.
